The last week is always stressful with so much to do. I have a ton of shopping to do, I've been cooking for days to fill the freezer. Chris hired his friend to wax and polish the boat (looks amazing) Items we ordered are still coming in. Checking the weather and it changes all the time. Thought yesterday we may just shoot right over to St Thomas but now looks like we may go via Florida??? Our first mate is flying in on Wednesday morning. We hope to leave on Friday or Saturday depending on the weather. Need to get Covid 19 tests. Fuel, water at last minute. Say our good byes to loved ones (going to be brutal) Not sure when we will be back, hope May! That is the hardest part of being in Paradise, your heart wants what it wants and no amount of sunshine, warm weather and turquoise waters can cure that. My beautiful daughter is having surgery, our amazing Grandog has cancer (FOR ONCE we are here when she needs us and I may have to still fly back)
We are anxious to get everything done and on our way, Have to say...We DO NOT like the cold and it is starting to get chilly. I don't even think we have a heater on the boat, lol
I really can't believe what an amazing job the Captain has done to this boat. It has everything we wanted to do except the floors (next time) I love the Purple Pelican. Who would have thought someone who did not like boats (sea sick, well still do occasionally) would be "living the dream" I am so excited to get back to work. LOVE my job meeting new people from all over the world and sailing to beautiful islands. It is a lot of hard work, long days and before and after the charter is crazy busy! I give thanks and am Grateful every day for what I do!
