It was strange leaving Paradise for a few days to head to the states. Don't people go to Paradise for their vacation? It has been 6 months since we went back to see family. We will return in November. I'm excited to say I brought back a huge new Magma grill. Our last one was barely hanging on. Some things we just can't get shipped here. We have a mail box at the marina and use Amazon, Ebay which is a big deal here! Our only box store is Kmart...yes, I said Kmart, when is the last time you saw one? I have also ordered new professional shirts for us to charter next year. I can't wait to see the pelican on it. I also ordered 50 t-shirts to sell to our guests at cost. I don't want to make a profit on them.
We are winding down with the last few charters before we head south.
Every charter we get excited to show them where we live and to show them the best vacation of their lives.
Many of the charter boats have left to go south or put on the container ship to head over to the Mediterranean to charter for the up coming season. The Med's typhoon season has ended where our hurricane season is beginning. Our plan is to go there in 4.5 years as our previous guests know to retire:) Maybe we will see you there!
The Sahara dust has reached us here in Charlotte Amalie and we are thankful for the showers we have been getting. The good news with the dust....no signs of a hurricane coming.
The cruise ships are scheduled to be in port July 6-7th. Nice to see the islands are starting to receive more visitors. I'm hearing the Kon Tiki boat practicing their calypso music getting ready for the ships to come in. They have not moved all season as well as the pirate boats that charter. I love seeing the guests aboard them they are so happy and scream when they see the purple pelican.
